Charlsey Kelly, a junior at Swainsboro High School, was selected as the Emanuel County Schools U.S. Senate Youth nominee. The United States Senate Youth Program was created to help outstanding high school students broaden their knowledge and understanding of Congress and the crucial role the Senate performs in the maintenance of our government. The nominee must be a junior or senior who is currently serving in an elected or appointed capacity in student government, civic or education organizations. Ms. Kelly will go on to compete at the state level of competition.
